Flipout

翻牌全压赛

A poker variant where all players automatically go all-in at the start of each hand, and the winner is determined by showdown.

Context: Term article: Flipout

Overview

Flipout is a fast, high-variance poker game mode commonly found on online poker platforms. In this mode, at the start of each hand, all players automatically push their entire stack into the pot (all-in). The hand then proceeds through the flop, turn, and river, with the winner determined by a showdown comparing hand strength.

Game Features

  • Automatic All-In: Players do not need to make betting, raising, or folding decisions; every hand is forced all-in.
  • Turbo Format: Since each hand resolves instantly, the game pace is extremely fast, with a tournament often finishing within minutes.
  • High Luck Factor: The outcome is almost entirely dependent on the cards dealt, with virtually no skill element. Suitable for pure entertainment or relaxation.

Tournament Structure

Flipout typically appears as a tournament (SNG, i.e., Sit & Go) or in cash game form. In tournaments, players buy in for an equal stack and continue playing all-in hands until only one player remains with all the chips. In cash games, players can buy in or leave the table at any time.

Strategy Tips

Since Flipout offers no decision-making room, players require no skill. The main strategy lies in choosing an appropriate buy-in amount and managing your entertainment budget. Due to its pure luck nature, this mode is not recommended for improving poker skills.

Comparison with Regular All-Ins

In standard Texas Hold'em, going all-in is a player's active choice. In Flipout, the all-in becomes a mandatory rule for every hand, completely eliminating the betting decision layer.
