HJ 75bb 反偷盲(HJ 75bb Resteal)

HJ 75bb Resteal

When holding approximately 75 big blinds effective stack in the hijack HJ position, a resteal re-raise against a raise from an earlier position.

Term Background

HJ (Hijack) is the second position after UTG in a full ring game, generally considered a mid-late position with strong blind-stealing and re-stealing conditions. Resteal refers to reclaiming pot control by re-raising when an opponent attempts to steal the blinds.

Strategy Points

  • Stack Depth: 75bb is a medium stack depth. When restealing, consider hand range, opponent's raising frequency, and fold equity.
  • Position Factor: Although HJ is not the button, it still offers some advantage, especially after the button folds, allowing pressure on the blinds behind.
  • Hand Selection: Typical resteal hands include medium pairs, suited connectors, or A-high hands, depending on opponent tendencies.

Practical Example

Assume blinds are 1/2, effective stacks 150 (75bb). UTG folds, Middle Position raises to 6, HJ holds [T♠9♠] and chooses to re-raise to 18, trying to force a fold. This play is HJ 75bb Resteal.

Notes

  • Avoid using this move too frequently, as experienced opponents will adjust by calling or re-raising more often.
  • Dynamically adjust based on opponent data (e.g., raising frequency, fold equity).
