小盲位河牌圈彩虹面3-Bet(SB River 3-Bet Rainbow)

The small blind player makes a 3-bet against the opponent's raise on the river, and the board is a rainbow no flush possible.

Term Analysis

SB River 3-Bet Rainbow is a term in Texas Hold'em that describes a specific action by the Small Blind in a particular situation. It consists of four parts: position (SB), street (River), action (3-Bet), and board texture (Rainbow). Rainbow originally refers to a flop with three cards of different suits; here it extends to the entire community board having no three cards of the same suit, meaning the river board remains rainbow-structured, with no flush draw possible.

Strategic Significance

  • Value Raise: A 3-Bet from the Small Blind on the river usually indicates a very strong made hand, such as top pair or better, or full houses, etc. A rainbow board reduces the opponent's possibility of a flush, so the opponent's raise likely comes from top pair, a straight, etc. The Small Blind's 3-Bet can extract more value.
  • Bluff Scenarios: On a rainbow board, the Small Blind might also bluff with blockers or a very small number of combos, but caution is needed because a river 3-Bet typically polarizes the range.
  • Range Consideration: The Small Blind must consider the opponent's reasonable raising range on the river and avoid over-raising, which could narrow the value.

Typical Example

Assume the community cards are A♠ 7♥ 2♣ J♦ 5♠ (Note: This board is not rainbow because there are two spades; the example is just for illustration purposes). A more accurate rainbow example: Flop K♣ 8♥ 3♦, Turn Q♠, River 2♣. The board is now rainbow (no three cards of the same suit). The Small Blind holds A♣ K♠. The opponent bets on the river, the Small Blind raises, the opponent re-raises, and the Small Blind then 3-bets. This is SB River 3-Bet Rainbow.

Notes

  • This term is not commonly used in standard poker textbooks; it appears mostly in advanced strategy discussions. It should be used with specific context in mind.
  • The rainbow board affects the composition of the opponent's range. Before 3-betting, the Small Blind should evaluate the absolute strength of their hand and its relative strength against the board.
