CO位挤压（Squeeze from CO）

Overview

Squeeze from CO (Cutoff squeeze) is an aggressive preflop play that uses positional advantage and dead money in the pot to force opponents to fold. The CO (Cutoff) is the seat immediately to the right of the button, giving it the second-best position postflop.

When to Execute

• Typical Scenario: A player (usually from MP or UTG) raises, followed by at least one caller. The CO player holds a decent hand (e.g., medium pairs, suited connectors, or strong ace-high cards) but not absolute monsters (like AA/KK/QQ), and aims to win the pot with a squeeze.
• Effective Stack Depth: Usually works best with 100BB or deeper stacks, to avoid being in trouble if a deep-stacked opponent calls.

Purpose & Advantages

• Capture Dead Money: Forces callers (especially blinds) to fold, directly winning the raise and call amounts and building your stack.
• Gain Initiative: Even if the raiser calls, the CO still has some positional advantage postflop (acting after the raiser, unless the raiser is the BTN).
• Exploit Tight-Passive Players: Especially effective against opponents who call frequently but fold easily postflop.

Risks & Considerations

• Counter-Exploitation: If the CO squeezes too often, the raiser may trap with a strong hand or 4-bet in response.
• Calling Range: The CO must consider the ranges of both the raiser and callers — if the caller is loose-passive, a squeeze works better; if the raiser is tight-aggressive, they may have a strong hand.
• Stack Depth: Squeezing is safer with deep stacks, but be cautious with short stacks as opponents may shove all-in.

Example

Typical situation: Blinds 1/2, effective stacks 200. UTG raises to 6, MP calls 6, CO holds A♠J♦ and raises to 24. UTG folds, MP folds, CO wins the pot.
