UTG+1 攻击系数(UTG+1 AF)

UTG+1 AF

指处于枪口+1位置玩家的攻击系数(Aggression Factor),用于衡量该位置玩家的攻击性倾向。

Meaning

UTG+1 AF is a common combined indicator in poker data analysis, consisting of the position label "UTG+1" (Under the Gun +1, the next position after the UTG, typically the second to act preflop) and the statistical indicator "AF" (Aggression Factor).

Function

The formula for AF is: (Number of Bets + Number of Raises) / Number of Checks (or Number of Calls, which may vary by platform; commonly it is Raises / Calls). A high AF value (usually above 2) indicates a player tends to be aggressive, while a low AF value (close to 0 or below 1) suggests a player is more passive, favoring calls or checks. By restricting AF to the UTG+1 position, we can evaluate a player's aggressive strategy in this specific early position.

Application

Preflop, UTG+1 is an early position, so the starting hand range is typically tight. If a player has a high AF in this position, it may mean they are raising or continuation betting with a wider range; if the AF is low, it may indicate they only bet or raise with strong hands, or they often check. Using UTG+1 AF data, opponents can adjust their strategies: for example, against a high-AF player, more re-raises or folds to continuation bets; against a low-AF player, more bluffs when they check.

Notes

  • AF values are affected by sample size; small samples can be misleading. Generally, at least 30-50 hands are recommended for meaningful interpretation.
  • Different poker platforms may calculate AF slightly differently; confirm the specific definition.
  • Position-specific AF indicators should be interpreted together with other statistics (such as VPIP, PFR) to avoid misdirection from a single metric.
