Quan Zhou first gained international attention in 2017 when he famously bubbled the WSOP Main Event. However, he quickly rebounded, becoming a regular in high-stakes fields. Earlier that year, he won the HK$206,000 Single-Day High Roller at PokerStars Championship Macau for HK$3,645,000 (~US$469,090), defeating Nick Petrangelo heads-up.
