Romain Saissi

Romain Lewis began his poker career primarily in France, where the majority of his early tournament cashes occurred. His breakout performance came in spring 2017 when he finished runner-up in the PokerStars Monte Carlo National Championship, earning €127,385. This result helped establish him as a rising talent on the European live circuit.

Lewis' biggest milestone came in 2021 at the World Series of Poker. He won his first bracelet in Event #76: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty, taking home $463,885. Reflecting on the win, Lewis told PokerNews: "It's been a ten-year dream... for it to happen now…it makes me ecstatic it really does." Prior to that, he had three top-three finishes at the 2018 WSOP and another at the WSOPE in Rozvadov.

In 2019, Lewis recorded the largest cash of his career by finishing third in the online poker LIVE MILLIONS Europe Main Event, earning €428,000. He also cashed multiple times in EPT High Roller events, including final table appearances such as a 4th place finish in the 2024 EPT Monte Carlo €3,000 Mystery Bounty (€79,950) and a 6th place in the 2021 EPT Prague €2,200 Eureka High Roller (€69,930).

Lewis has consistently made deep runs in major events. In the 2019 WSOP Main Event, he finished 60th for $142,215. He also placed 5th in the 2024 WSOP Event #34: $2,500 Freezeout for $111,222, and 12th in the 2022 WSOP $10,000 6-Handed Championship. His results span from low-stakes events to the highest buy-ins, demonstrating versatility.

As a former member of the Winamax Team Pro, Lewis has been a prominent figure in the French poker community. His bracelet win and consistent high-level performances have solidified his reputation as one of France's top tournament players.
