William Alex Foxen

William Alex Foxen was born on February 1, 1991, in Cold Spring Harbor, New York. He played tight end for the Boston College Eagles football team before turning his focus to poker. In 2012, at age 21, he won the first World Series of Poker Circuit event he entered, held in New Orleans, earning $22,421, but did not take poker seriously until after graduating from university at age 23.

After college, Foxen played online poker for a couple of years before transitioning to live tournaments in 2016, starting with buy-ins ranging from $200 to $500.
