HJ位10BB全下或弃牌策略(HJ 10bb Push Fold)

HJ 10bb Push Fold

在HJ位(劫持位)时,筹码深度约10个大盲注的情况下,只采取全下或弃牌两种行动的简化策略。

Overview

In Texas Hold'em tournaments, when a player has a shallow stack (approximately 10 big blinds or less), they often adopt a Push/Fold strategy. This is because making a small raise or limping at this stack depth makes it easy for opponents to force a fold with a re-raise, costing many chips. The HJ (Hijack, the Hijack position) is the position immediately after under the gun. The HJ 10bb Push Fold strategy means that when you are in the HJ with a stack depth of around 10bb, you only consider pushing all-in or folding, and you no longer make standard raises or calls.

Strategy Principles

  • Position Advantage: The HJ is a middle-to-late position, allowing you to observe the actions of players in early positions, but you also face actions from the CO, Button, and blinds behind you. With a 10bb stack, an all-in puts immense ICM pressure on opponents, forcing them to call with very narrow ranges.
  • Range Selection: Typically, at 10bb in the HJ, the pushing range includes medium-strong pairs, high cards, and some suited connectors, while weak hands are folded directly. The specific range depends on opponents' calling tendencies and table dynamics.
  • Avoid Passivity: Avoiding situations where you make a small raise and then are forced to fold or end up in a multi-way pot, thereby maximizing your fold equity.

Precautions

  • This strategy is not suitable for all scenarios. If the players behind you frequently call, or if the blind defense is loose, you may need to adjust accordingly.
  • In actual tournaments, you should also consider ICM (Independent Chip Model) factors, especially near the money bubble.
  • Example: With a 10bb stack in the HJ and holding A♠Q♣, you should usually push all-in; with 7♠2♣, you fold.

Summary

The HJ 10bb Push Fold is a simplified tournament strategy that helps players make decisions with shallow stacks, reducing complex analysis while using the threat of an all-in to accumulate chips.
