HJ河牌延迟持续下注(湿润牌面)(HJ River Delayed C-Bet Wet)

HJ River Delayed C-Bet Wet

In poker, refers to a strategic action where a player in the hijack HJ position on the river, when the board is wet (coordinated, with draws or high made hand potential), makes a delayed continuation bet.

Concept Analysis

Delayed C-Bet refers to a player who did not bet on the flop making their first bet on the turn or river. HJ River Delayed C-Bet Wet specifically targets the river, a wet board, and the Hijack (HJ) position.

Strategic Background

  • Position Advantage: HJ is in a middle-late position. By choosing to check on the flop, you gain information on actions from players behind (CO, BTN, blinds) and can leverage position to make better decisions on the turn or river.
  • Wet Board: A wet board (e.g., monotone flop or connected cards) means many draws may have completed or missed by the river. Delaying a bet to the river can target opponents who didn't bet on the flop or turn but may now hold marginal made hands or missed draws.
  • Range Construction: Checking the flop allows for a range that includes various hand strengths (strong made hands, draws, air). A delayed river bet represents a polarized range (nuts or bluffs), especially effective on wet boards when the opponent's range contains many busted draws.

Typical Scenario

Suppose you hold A♠K♠ in HJ on a flop of J♠T♠2♦ (a double-suited, connected wet board). You check. Turn is 5♣, you check. River is 3♠, completing the flush. You now make a delayed C-bet. Your range includes flushes, possibly two pair/trips (if opponents think your flop check was weak), and you can also add some busted draws as bluffs.

Note: This strategy is not default; it should be adjusted based on opponent tendencies, bet sizing, and board dynamics. Overusing it will be exploited by experienced opponents.
