Precomputed Nash charts show the minimum hand strength for a profitable shove from the small blind, assuming the big blind calls optimally. These charts are derived by solving for equilibrium ranges in a simplified game where action is limited to all-in or fold.
For example, with 10 big blinds, a Nash equilibrium might dictate pushing with hands like A2s+, K8s+, Q9s+, and most pairs from the small blind. The big blind’s calling range would then be adjusted to prevent exploitation. These ranges are symmetric: if both players follow the equilibrium, no single-player change yields higher EV.
Relationship to GTO and ICM
