小盲位翻牌前冷跟注静态策略(SB Preflop Cold Call Static)
Refers to a fixed cold call range and strategy in the small blind SB when facing a raise from an earlier position, without adjusting to the opponent's tendencies.
Overview
SB Preflop Cold Call Static is a concept in poker strategy, typically used within a Game Theory Optimal (GTO) framework. In the small blind (SB), the player is out of position preflop. When facing an early-position raiser, a cold call means calling the raise without having first posted the blind (i.e., not defending the blind). "Static" indicates that the strategy is not adjusted based on opponent tendencies or history, but rather is based on a predetermined balanced range.
Principle & Purpose
In GTO strategy, the SB's cold-calling range is usually narrow because the SB is in the worst position postflop and has unfavorable pot odds. Using a static strategy simplifies decision-making and avoids being exploited by opponents. The core of this strategy is to maintain range balance so that opponents cannot profit by targeting folds or raises. The specific range typically includes small and medium pairs, suited connectors, and some Ax hands, varying by raise size and opponent range.
Practical Application
In actual play, many players make dynamic adjustments, but a static strategy can serve as a baseline framework. For example, facing a standard button raise, the SB's static cold-call range might include: 66-22, A5s-A2s, K9s-K6s, Q9s-Q8s, J9s-J8s, T9s-T8s, 98s-87s, etc. Note that this range excludes strong hands (like QQ+, AK) which are typically 3-bet, and weak hands (like junk) which are folded.
Notes
A static strategy cannot handle all opponents. If an opponent folds too often or raises excessively, the static range can be exploited. Therefore, this strategy is better suited as a starting point for learning rather than as a long-term optimal solution. In practice, it should be combined with adjustments based on opponent weaknesses.
