Negreanu Hits Three WSOP Online Final

Daniel Negreanu has put together one of his strongest online stretches in recent memory, reaching three final tables in five days during WSOP Online 2026 on GGPoker. The Canadian Poker Hall of Fame member streamed the run from Vancouver, and while the deep finishes produced more than half a million dollars in combined results, the ninth bracelet of his career and his first from the online felt remain out of reach.

Event #27: $10,000 GGMillion$ PLO

The first deep run came in the $10,000 GGMillion$ PLO, which drew 228 entries. Negreanu entered the final table second in chips, putting him in strong position to contend for the title.

The turning point came in a clash with eventual winner Andreas Freund of Austria. Both players made flushes in a large pot, but Freund's queen-high flush delivered a severe blow to Negreanu's stack. He was eliminated shortly afterward in 7th place for $71,409.

Negreanu reviewed the hand publicly on X, noting that he was playing for first place rather than laddering up the payouts. He described the turn card as one of the toughest in the spot and walked through his holding and the board texture for followers.

Event #29: $25,000 High Roller NLH Championship

Two days later, Negreanu recorded his second final table in the $25,000 High Roller NLH Championship, which he streamed on YouTube. He again climbed into the chip lead, but lost it in a three-way all-in where his ace-king could not hold against the ace-queen of Ole Schemion.

The most damaging moment came with four players remaining. Finnish chip leader Casimir Seire moved all-in with nine-eight offsuit, and Negreanu called with pocket tens. Seire paired both of his cards, sending Negreanu out in 4th place for $415,699.

On X, Negreanu said he was pleased with his play and suggested his opponent may have misjudged his willingness to make ICM folds in that situation. He noted he had a strong chance to take a large chip lead and quickly moved his focus to the next tournament.

Event #30: $5,000 High Roller Bounty PLO

On Friday, September 25, Negreanu completed the final-table hat-trick in the $5,000 High Roller Bounty PLO. The final table started well when he doubled his stack against Markus Ristola, but the momentum shifted in a preflop all-in against Anatoly Zlotnikov.

Negreanu held ace-ace-queen-three with clubs against Zlotnikov's ace-ace-jack with hearts and a six. The board ran out to give Zlotnikov a runner-runner flush, leaving Negreanu as the short stack. He was later eliminated by Slovenian pro Blaz Zerjav, who turned over a set of jacks. Negreanu finished 6th for $43,641 plus bounties.

In his post-tournament comments on X, Negreanu said he felt good about how he played the key pot, explaining that he held one heart while another player had shown three hearts, which improved his equity outlook. He acknowledged the outcome was disappointing and immediately turned to the next event.

The Ninth Bracelet Still Awaits

Negreanu won his eighth WSOP bracelet about two months ago in Las Vegas, taking down the $50,000 PLO High Roller for $2.25 million. That result extended a career that has made him one of the most recognizable figures in the game.

Across the three WSOP Online 2026 final tables, his combined earnings surpassed $500,000, yet the first online bracelet remains elusive. If he secures a ninth career bracelet, he would join a very small group of players in WSOP history to reach that mark.

The WSOP Online 2026 series continues until September 29, leaving Negreanu several remaining opportunities to chase the title. Based on his current form, he remains one of the players to watch in the closing events.
