大盲位25bb全下或弃牌策略(BB 25bb Push Fold)

BB 25bb Push Fold

In the big blind position, when the effective stack is around 25 big blinds, the player adopts a strategy of only shoving all-in or folding.

Overview

BB 25bb Push Fold is a simplified strategy commonly used in late-stage Texas Hold'em tournaments, applicable when in the big blind position with an effective stack depth of approximately 25 big blinds (bb). At this stack size, post-flop play is limited due to shallow stacks, so players simplify decisions by either going all-in or folding, while applying pressure on opponents.

Core Principle

The strategy leverages the big blind's positional advantage (acting last pre-flop) and the specific stack depth. With 25bb effective stacks, a standard pre-flop raise typically involves committing about 2.5-3bb, leaving a remaining stack that is still large relative to the pot, making it easy to become pot-committed post-flop. Using Push Fold avoids complex post-flop decisions and forces the small blind and other players into tough choices when facing an all-in.

Application Scenarios

  • Late tournament stages, especially near the bubble or money bubble, where ICM pressure increases and precise push-fold ranges are critical.
  • Against aggressive small blind players who frequently steal, using frequent all-ins to deter their steals.
  • When holding a hand that is too weak to call but not strong enough to fold, using all-in as a bluff.

Range and Adjustments

A typical 25bb big blind push range includes:

  • Value hands: TT+, AJ+, KQ (approximately top 10% of hands)
  • Bluff hands: some small pairs (22-99), suited connectors (e.g., 87s), etc. The exact range should be adjusted based on opponents' fold frequency. Since the big blind has already invested 1bb, the loss from folding is small, so the folding range is wide, keeping only stronger hands.

Considerations

  • This strategy is not a fixed formula; it must be adjusted dynamically based on opponent tendencies, stack distribution, and tournament stage.
  • If the effective stack is significantly less than 25bb (e.g., below 10bb), the push range should be tighter; if significantly more (e.g., 40bb+), revert to standard post-flop play.
  • Against calling station players, reduce bluff pushes and focus on value pushes.

Related Strategies

The Push Fold strategy is a fundamental tournament concept, closely related to short stack strategy and ICM strategy. At 25bb depth, mixing in some limps or small raises can add variety.
